With a career spanning space research, national security, and high-level
academic governance, he is a dedicated architect of future-ready education
systems.
Academic Leadership & University Building
Currently serving as the Provost of Audisankara
Deemed-to-be University (2026), DrTPS previously served as its Founder Interim
Vice-Chancellor (2025). In these roles, he has been instrumental in:

Scientist: Served for 20 years at ISRO (Department of Space).

Strategy: Served as Deputy Director in the Cabinet Secretariat and the
Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), focusing on satellite imagery and strategic
analysis.

Governance: Formerly the Director of the UGC Academic Staff College and an
Executive Director for major engineering institutions.
Social Impact & Educational Philosophy
DrTPS is the founder of SHIKSHA, a Hyderabad-based
consultancy, and SHIKSHA Gurukulam, which focuses on "Age 3 to Grade
3" early childhood development. His influence extends globally as an

Dr. T. P. Sasikumar—widely known as DrTPS—is an

mathematician by training, a space scientist by profession, an educationist by
vocation, and a life mentor by calling, DrTPS embodies a holistic vision of

Born in the small village of Naduvil in Kannur, Kerala,
DrTPS rose from humble beginnings to become one of India’s most respected
thought leaders in education, ethics, and human development. His academic
journey reflects both depth and diversity—holding advanced degrees in
Mathematics (MSc, MPhil, PhD), Law (LLB), Management (MBA in HR and Knowledge
Management), and Psychotherapy & Counseling (MS). This multidisciplinary
foundation shaped his distinctive approach: one that sees knowledge not as fragmented
domains but as an interconnected tapestry of intellect, emotion, and
consciousness.
For two decades, DrTPS served the Department of Space
(ISRO) as a scientist, specializing in remote sensing, photogrammetry,
satellite imagery, and strategic geospatial analysis. His work contributed to
national security, scientific mapping, and technological innovation. Later, as Deputy
Director in the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India, he operated at
the intersection of science, intelligence, and geopolitics—interpreting
satellite data for strategic decision-making at the highest levels of governance.
Yet, despite the prestige and power of these roles, his inner calling drew him
toward a deeper mission: the transformation of human beings through education
and wisdom.
As Director of the UGC Academic Staff College at the
University of Calicut, he pioneered innovative faculty development
programs, interdisciplinary learning, and technology-enhanced pedagogy. He has
taught, mentored, and inspired thousands of teachers across India, redefining
what it means to be an educator in the 21st century. His teaching style is
experiential, dialogical, and profoundly human—grounded in real-life
application rather than rote learning.
DrTPS is the Founder-Chairman of SHIKSHA–JNAANAM, a
unique educational and spiritual initiative that blends Indian Knowledge
Systems, psychology, leadership training, and scientific reasoning. Through
residential camps in his ancestral 200-year-old home at Naduvil, he has created
an intimate, immersive learning environment where youth from India and across
the world engage in reflective dialogue, critical thinking, and inner
transformation. These camps are not merely academic—they are journeys of
self-discovery, character formation, and ethical awakening.
As a public speaker, DrTPS is legendary. He has addressed
more than three lakh students and over one lakh teachers, conducted
marathon 24-hour learning sessions, and spoken before gatherings exceeding
7,000 participants. His talks weave together mathematics, neuroscience,
philosophy, Bhagavad Gita, leadership theory, and practical life skills—making
ancient wisdom relevant to modern challenges. His ability to simplify complex
ideas while preserving their depth makes him both intellectually rigorous and

A prolific author, DrTPS has written extensively on
education, spirituality, psychology, and life philosophy. His books—such as Life
Made Simple, Life of Love, Rhythm of Life, Adaptive Learning, and Emotional
Intelligence for Corporate Communication—reflect his belief that learning
must nourish both the mind and the heart. Reviewers have even likened Life
Made Simple to a “modern Thirukkural” for its clarity, moral depth, and
poetic wisdom.
Beyond academia and science, DrTPS is deeply rooted in
Indian spiritual traditions. He has studied Vedic philosophy, Tantra, Mantra,
Yoga, Ayurveda, Astrology, Vasthu, and multiple healing sciences including
Reiki, Pranic Healing, and Hypnosis. Yet he approaches spirituality not as
